EDUCATION AND RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
  Dr. Hailong Jiang is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and PI of Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at the Microscale.
  Dr. Jiang was born in 1981 in Anhui, China and received PhD degree in inorganic chemistry from Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 2008. He subsequently joined Prof. Qiang Xu’s group at National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST, Japan) as an AIST fellow in 2008-2009 and became a JSPS fellow during 2009-2011. After a postdoctoral stint at Texas A&M University (USA) with Prof. Hong-Cai JOE Zhou, he joined the faculty of USTC in 2013. His interest is in the development of porous materials and nanostructured materials for applications in energy-related catalysis, sorption and separation. He has published over 70 papers in prestigious journals (J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., etc.) with over 4500 citations (H-index 38) and 1 invited book chapter.
 
RESEARCH INTERESTS
1) Design, synthesis and modification of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for catalysis, sensor, sorption and separation.
2) Fabrication and catalytic applications (including heterogeneous catalysis, photocatalysis, and electrocatalysis) of functionalized MOF-based materials.
